The distinctive feature of the ticketing program of EXPO-2017 held in Astana is the offer of free access to the Exhibition to the participants of the World War II, persons with disabilities, orphans and children under 6 years old, and substantial discounts for pensioners, mothers with large families, university students and schoolchildren, who participated in previous exhibitions.
This was announced at the briefing in the Central Communications Service chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan held with the participation of Yerbol Sharmanov, Deputy Board Chairman of National Company “Astana EXPO-2017”, Sergey Kuyanov, Director of the Public Relations Department of the Company, Rada Islamova, acting Director of the Commercialization Department, and Aksulu Arzykulova, Deputy Director of the Public Relations Department.
As the participants of the briefing stated, the ticketing program is designed so that each person in Kazakhstan can visit the Exhibition. Thus, the online sale of tickets started on 10 June. For exactly one month, until 10 July, it will be a promotional period with lowest possible prices. From 10 to 20 June, all customers will be offered a 50% discount. For example, a fixed date ticket will be available for a weekday only for 2000 KZT, and for a weekend – for 3000 KZT. From 21 to 30 June, the offered discount will be 30%, and from 1 to 10 July, it will be 20%.
Besides, promotional period will be available for tour operators and resellers from 10 July to 10 August. Offline ticketing counters will open throughout Kazakhstan from 1 September this year. It is planned to organize field sales of tickets during national holidays. Additionally, tickets for the Exhibition will be sold by the EXPO-2017 partners: Kazpost, National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” (Kazakhstan Railways), Air Astana.
