Kazakhstanis celebrate Gratitude Day

On March 1 Kazakhstan celebrates the Gratitude Day. Kazakhstanis celebrate this holiday for the second time.

The Gratitude Day was established by the decree of the President on January 14, 2016. The date of this day is chosen on purpose. It was March 1, 1995 the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was created in the country, and in 2015 in April at the 22nd Session of the Assembly President Nursultan Nazarbayev suggested to declare this day as the “Gratitude Day”.

“The people of the country can thank each other and the Kazakhs for tolerance and hospitality to those years when many people were deported to the country”, the Head of State stated.

Within the celebration of the Gratitude Day the country will hold large-scale activities and national actions.

We remind that head of the Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan at Eurasian National University Anatoly Bashmakov invited all residents to take an active part in carrying out this very young festival. He noted that the Gratitude Day is a spiritual substance of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.
