Pavlodar refinery plans to start production of diesel fuel
Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev visited Pavlodar region during his working visit and got acquainted with the implementation of the enterprise modernization project.
General Director of “PNHZ” Shukhrat Danbai reported to Kanat Bozumbayev on the mechanical completion of construction and installation works at the new process facilities: a complex of sulfur production plants and an isomerisation unit and a naphtha splitter, including two storage tanks for a high-octane gasoline (isomerizate) component with a total capacity of 10,000 cubic meters and an automatic gasoline mixing station.
According to the information of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, on April 24, 2017, Pavlodar petrochemical plant signed acts on the mechanical completion of construction and installation works at these technological complexes. Currently, a set of sulfur production facilities are undergoing commissioning, which is planned to be completed in July, and on the isomerization unit and naphtha splitter – by September. By this time, the company must achieve warranty performance indicators and get high-octane gasolines of ecological classes K4 (analogous to Euro-4). The release of high-octane gasoline after the completion of modernization will increase by 297 thousand tons.
At the moment, in the framework of the modernization project, construction and installation works are under way to reconstruct existing plants. At the complex of primary oil refining (LK-6U) – hydrotreater of diesel fuel and kerosene, atmospheric distillation, hydrotreating naphtha, catalytic reforming. Thus, the reconstruction of the hydrotreating unit for diesel fuel and kerosene will allow the company to start producing diesel fuel K4, K5 and aviation fuel in November-December 2017. The deep oil refining complex (KT-1) reconstructs the vacuum gas oil hydrotreatment unit and the reactor-regenerator unit (RRU) of the catalytic cracking unit. Reconstruction of the RRU will allow the company to increase the processing capacity of hydrotreated vacuum gas oil from the existing 1,250 thousand tons per year to 1,900 thousand tons per year.
It should be noted that after the completion of modernization, all products produced by the plant will fully comply with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union.
